On the southwestern tip of Kasos, a narrow cove forms the beach of Avlaki. The shape and location of the bay offer natural protection from the wind, resulting in the waters here remaining calm regardless of the weather conditions prevailing on the island’s more open coasts.
A little further southeast stretches Chochlakia beach, forming together with Avlaki a small unit of secluded, quiet shores at the farthest end of Kasos — spots that reward those who manage to reach them with a sense of absolute tranquility, away from all traffic.
